Feature rich Movie Soundtrack App. BuyTheSoundtrack.com launched by Worlds Largest Movie Soundtrack publisher.
Metropolis Movie Music has announced the launch of the world’s first dedicated movie soundtrack app that gives film lovers the ability to access the widest available selection of movie music direct to their phone.
The brainchild of Metropolis’s CEO Ian Brenchley who, in recognizing that sound tracks purchases were an under exploited part of the movie release lifecycle, created a new division, Metropolis Movie Music. MMM is now the largest global publisher of movie soundtracks and the new app, Buythesoundtrack.com http://Buythesoundtrack.com is the next natural step in this process.
The free app launched on the Apple App Store on November 22nd is being supported with a heavyweight national cinema advertising campaign through Empire Cinema and Pearl & Dean.
The feature rich app will include movie news, reviews, a sound board and searchable database for easy purchasing of complete albums and individual tracks all of which can be previewed from within the app.
‘Our aim is to create a bespoke hub for movie music fans who appreciate how the soundtrack often makes the film, and although we’re just launching, plans for phase two are already well advanced which include giving cinema goers access to the soundtrack of the film just viewed before they leave the cinema’ says Gerry Gallacher, Head of Marketing & Labels MMM. ‘The scope for this app is extremely exciting and the feedback during the consumer trials has given us the confidence to drive forward to develop the next stage of the app ahead of schedule, all of which is being completed within the Metropolis Group’
Ian Brenchley CEO Metropolis Group said ‘By addressing this gap in the market we believe we will create new revenue streams for the group and fell this is easily scalable to attract an international user-base. This initiative is part of the growth strategy for Metropolis, which continues to add new and exciting business strands to Metropolis’.
