NEWS RELEASE: Metropolis, the premier independent and professional recording studio in West London, is pleased to announce its recent association with the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), a world leader in music industry education. Centered in Guildford, UK, the academy has been training students for careers in the music industry since 1995 – successful alumni range from artists and producers to music business executives and managers
Roger Taylor of Queen commented “I would expect some exciting new developments to come out of this relationship between two old friends”. Queen have a strong history with Metropolis with their last two albums ‘Innuendo’ and ‘Made In Heaven’ and the video for ‘Headlong’ being recorded there. He is also an ACM Patron For Music.
The announcement was made last week after ACM was fully secured by Kainne Clements, who was named one of three new investors in Metropolis in June 2013.
Clements states, “ACM is already known for placing high calibre students into industry, and Metropolis is right at the heart of that industry. You can see the thread where a student at ACM takes advantage of the relationship with Metropolis to help develop, and likewise, Metropolis’ clients stand to gain from a crop of skilled and experienced graduates who understand the business.”
Clements also confirmed that he was keen on launching ACM-approved courses for employed music execs.
