Following a hugely exciting year at Metropolis Studios, the facility is delighted that members of its award-winning team have been recognised with nominations in numerous BRIT Award categories. Metropolis services, on average, 50% of the UK’s Top 40 Chart annually, as well as myriad international hits for the European, Asian and US markets. 2015 saw Adele
record her global smash, 25, at Metropolis, in a year when the complex celebrated its 25th anniversary as one of the world’s leading recording facilities, so this recognition at the BRITS starts 2016 off on an equally strong footing.
“We are delighted that so many pieces of work that members of our team have contributed to have been recognised with these BRITS nominations. Mastering engineer Stuart Hawkes has also been nominated in two Grammys categories, and John Davis has been nominated Mastering Engineer of the Year by the prestigious Music Producers Guild, so we’re doing well with nominations this year. Our recording and mastering engineers work incredibly hard and with huge passion, developing close relationships with all our clients, so this recognition is really well deserved. Of course, when we attend on the night, we will be pleased for whoever wins each award; we wish all nominees the best of luck. We very much look forward to the ceremony and to congratulating all the winners.”
Ian Brenchley, Metropolis CEO.
