For 30 years, Sound Performance Lab from Germany have been developing audio gear for music, film, multimedia and broadcast. The company’s R&D history include the invention of Vitalizer® sound optimization, the Transient Designer, Auto-dynamic De-Esser (eliminating S-sounds by phase cancellation), Atmos 5.1 (the world’s first discrete 5.1 surround mic’ing system), development of the SPL 120V rail op-amps and Phonitor matrix that produces a loudspeaker equivalent playback on headphones.

Genelec’s quest to deliver the ultimate in performance-driven Studio Monitors and tireless development of innovative technology has seen them become trailblazers in revolutionary design based. With environmental and sustainable values at the core of everything they do, the Finnish brand work closely with Metropolis to achieve the best acoustic performance right across the building and have even helped design bespoke monitors for our tracking studios.

Sadie software runs on all our mastering computers and have also been involved in Mastering at Metropolis right from the beginning.

Audeze products combine revolutionary acoustic engineering and beautiful craftsmanship to provide the finest listening experience. First discovered by audiophiles, now professional engineers and music producers are using our headphones as their new reference.
Prism Sound
Another longstanding key partner of Metropolis are Prism who supply analogue to digital and digital to analogue converters. We also use numerous British-made DACs from Kent-based Chord Electronics, including the multi-award-winning Hugo 2 DAC/headphone amplifier and the company’s flagship DAC, DAVE. Each room is then equipped with a range of outboard EQs and compressors according to each engineers needs and preferences. Equipment chosen to be in the rooms comes from the likes of Sontec, Avalon, Maselec, Shadow Hills, Weiss, and TC Electronic.
