‘We have launched the academy to create a unique hands on course, held not in a classroom but within a working studio environment. We have also engaged tutors who have been there, done that and can give an accurate real life account of what it takes to work across the multiple strands of the music business. We’re passionate about providing a deep understanding of the business of making music. We are developing new course itineraries with a long-term aim of offering degree level courses that will be truly inspiring and guide professional development for our delegates.
To help drive the academy forward Metropolis has assembled a Board of Advisors which includes Darcus Beese, Co_President at Island Records, Jeanette Lee, co-owner of Rough Trade Records and Mr Hudson, recording artist and songwriter . All of whom are committed to supporting the academy as it develops into a world class learning environment.
