Our Brand Partnerships
The Breakthrough Lab
As part of an ongoing seven-year partnership, Amazon Music and Metropolis Studios collaborated on the design, build and launch of Studio X, a bespoke and accessible state-of-the-art production studio, specifically geared towards supporting independent artists, songwriters and producers. The lab ties into Amazon Music’s global “Breakthrough” artist development initiative, providing long-term, customised marketing support, high-profile Amazon Original tracks, and increased playlist visibility for hand-selected emerging talent from their annual Artists to Watch list. They also frequently partner with industry organisations such as TuneCore and the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) to award independent musicians free time in the lab.
Make It Music
An initiative launched by Ellesse and Metropolis Studios as a collaboration seamlessly merging streetwear and music culture by hosting monthly recording sessions and live performances at the studio. Ellesse utilised our in-house creative and programming services to produce and release exclusive live sessions and mini-docs. The project celebrated the deep-rooted synergy between youth music subcultures and retro-inspired sportswear fashion. The brand worked closely with artists in advance of each session to style and also produce completely bespoke one-off pieces for them. The campaign featured a mix of rising and established UK talent, including D Double E, Nina Nesbitt, easy life, Not3s, Gengahr, Hollie Cook, The Orielles and Skinny Pelembe.
Revive Live
Our partnership with Jack Daniel’s has seen a series of unforgettable Live to Vinyl studio experiences featuring Ezra Collective, Maverick Sabre, Pale Waves, Nova Twins, Kokoroko and Nilufer Yanya, each capturing a distinct moment in time direct to wax. Experiences are staged over 4 hours with x40 guests invited behind the scenes to witness their favourite artists go under the spotlight. The series was also extended outside of the studio for two Live to Tape experiences in which a bespoke mobile recording rig was designed to capture very high-quality live shows to tape, featuring The Snuts at Boiler Room in Newcastle, which raised £7k for the Music Venue Trust and then a takeover of Rough Trade East with the band AKA to celebrate Record Store Day 2026. The live productions are used as a framework from which to build media, content and comms around, reaching over 12 million music fans and brand customers in the process each year, raising significant awareness of the brand’s commitment to supporting independent artists and recementing their brand presence at the music industry table.
JBL & AKG
Harman and its professional audio brands AKG and JBL have partnered with Metropolis Studios on multiple pan-European campaigns aimed at supporting emerging musicians. AKG’s “Hit the Studio” initiative and JBL’s “Back to Stage” campaign offered up-and-coming European artists an opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid trip to London for a series of masterclasses and recording sessions with our Grammy-winning engineers. Entry mechanic saw thousands of artists and bands upload their tracks to a branded gateway for the chance to win exclusive JBL gear or the golden ticket studio experiences. These competition platforms gave the brand a meaningful way to connect with creators and customers. Back at the studio, content capture was framed around Harman’s pro-audio equipment with gear focused on monitoring, microphones and Soundcraft/JBL hardware.
