Album Playbacks: invite 30 of guests, clients, press and media to listen to an attended playback in one of our two tracking studios featuring some of the best monitoring experiences in the world. Pic from the recent Foo Fighters playback

Private Showcase: host up to 150 guests in Studio A’s ‘live room’. For the ultimate hassle-free experience, make use of our extensive tech, backline and world class front-of-house set up. We will record tracks post soundcheck and/or your live show, all mixed and mastered by our Grammy award winning team of engineers.

Brand Sessions: the studio is an easy lure for both brands wanting to capture high quality audio-visual content in a band’s natural recording habitat. Brands we have worked with recently include Deezer, Ray Ban, Spotify, Yamaha, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Krug, Nescafe, Coca Cola and Ellesse

Product Demos: Metropolis is second to none when it comes to hosting audio/tech product launches. There are not many places better equipped to demo best in class products. Over the last 12 months we have hosted the likes of Genelec, Bang and Olufsen, Slate Media, Solid State Logic.

Tech Fairs: for bigger trade events, you can take over the whole studio. Our annual headphone fair Headroom sees over 40 luxury headphone brands descend upon the Power House for two days of pure audiophile indulgence.

Masterclasses: since Eddie Kramer deconstructed four Jimi Hendrix tracks in Studio-A with the cultural and social context of how they were made to a studio audience, we knew the format makes for a compelling experience. It’s a great way for younger electronic and rap producers to engage with their fans and talk to them about how their albums were put together.

Live to Vinyl: recording live-to-vinyl is the original process artists used to capture music for public consumption. No modern technology, just plain old playing and recording. Metropolis have recreated the experience on our unique cutting lathes to resurrect the long forgotten art. This can be run as a closed studio production or as an unforgettable VIP experience for music fans. The result is a 2-4 track EP cut straight to vinyl from which limited edition runs of exclusive vinyl can be pressed. Recent sessions include Rag’n’Bone Man and Noel Gallagher.

Away Days: Metropolis makes a perfect backdrop for corporate team bonding sessions. With an abundance of studios and break out spaces, we can cater for many needs. You can even supersize your experience and use our facilities to “record a song”, tailor-made to suit groups of all sizes.
