The B-Side Project, Sponsored By Prism Sound, Reaches Its Finale.
BPM Live’s B-Side Project, sponsored by internationally renowned manufacturer Prism Sound, reaches its culmination on April 14th, 2016 with an awards ceremony here at Metropolis Studios in London.
For the first time ever, the ceremony will be streamed live via the Prism Sound website and the event will culminate with a Live Mix set featuring Cut La Roc (Rocstar Recordings) and Nu:Tone (Hospital Records). Other guests who are already confirmed including Wolfgang Flur (ex-Kraftwerk), Glen Nicholls (Future Funk Squad), Estelle Rubio, Matt Schwarz and Krystal Roxx.
Now in its fifth year, this annual competition aims to promote new artists, merge music genres and provide additional platforms for live and electronic music productions. Four awards will be presented at the ceremony and the 10 top entries will also be released as a compilation album on the B-Side Recordings label, distributed by Republic of Music and available to download via numerous online retailers including iTunes.

“This year’s competition has been our most successful to date, with entries from over 120 artists, bands and producers from 18 different countries. Each artist was paired with an electronic music producer who has re-mixed their track to create a new and exciting musical work. From this selection, we have chosen a shortlist of 30 and our judging panel is currently deciding the overall winners.”

The judging panel features music professional including high profile producers and remixers such as Roni Size, Krystal Roxx, Wolfgang Flur and Matt Schwartz.

Award categories include gongs for Best Arrangement, Most Imaginative track and Most Innovative track. The fourth Award will go to the track that pulls in the most votes from the public. The overall winning track, also decided by the Judging panel, will earn both the artist and remixer significant prizes, including a Prism Sound audio interface. ACS Custom are also adding to the prize offerings with their viable hearing protection and communication products designed to allow musicians and producers to create, perform and enjoy music safely.
