It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague and friend John Davis.  One of the UK’s most accomplished and successful Grammy award-winning Mastering Engineers, John passed away on the morning of September 13th after a short illness at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London.    John’s spirit and legacy will live on with all of us at Metropolis. He was a formidable engineer, a great friend and father and an inspiration to his colleagues. With his passion for all music he inspired his clients and helped many of them reach the degree of recognition he believed they deserved.  Over the years John put the finishing touch to records by Led Zeppelin, The Killers, The Prodigy, Blur, FKA Twigs, Soul II Soul, Dua Lipa, HAIM, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy, Primal Scream, U2, The Stone Roses, Lana Del Rey and most recently Jockstrap who he was immensely proud of.  Our thoughts remain at this difficult time with Barney, Felix, Jay, Eden and Skyler.  God bless you, John, the music lives on.
