Metropolis Studios x BRITs 2026

Over the years, Metropolis has worked with many BRITs winners and nominees. To be trusted by these incredible artists with their music is something we are incredibly proud of, and 2025 was no exception.

Mark Ronson is somebody we have a deep affinity with at Metropolis. As the home of Amy Winehouse and Mark’s seminal ‘Version’ record, we have some of the studio notes as part of our permanent display here at Metropolis. It was a real thrill to see him win his richly deserved Lifetime Achievement award.

An award that could be on the horizon for the brilliant Geese, whose ‘Getting Killed’ album was mastered by our engineer, Felix Davis. Felix worked on Cameron Winter’s solo album ‘Heavy Metal’ in 2024, which led him to work with Geese on ‘Getting Killed’. Congratulations to Felix and Geese, and if you’ve not heard the album, it is well worth the listen, truly one of the albums of the year. Felix also cut the Olivia Dean single ‘Man I Need’, which clearly wraps up an amazing Brits year for one of Europe’s most exciting young mastering engineers.

Another one of our exceptional Mastering and Atmos engineers, Mike Hiller, worked on the superb Pink Pantheress ‘Fancy That’ record. Mike Atmos mixed and mastered the record; this collaboration has been made extra special for us, as Pink Pantheress has been awarded the Producer of the Year, a great achievement.

Stuart Hawkes continues his illustrious and diverse career, cutting both ‘Art of Loving’ by Olivia Dean and Lola Young’s ‘I’m Only F**king Myself’. Stuart also cut the brilliant ‘USB’ by Fred Again featuring Victory Lap. If you need a sentence to understand the breadth of Stuart’s talent, that last one is right up there. Stuart has been operating at this level for a few years and is only getting better.

Raye has been a member of the Metropolis family for some time now, having recorded both her first album and forthcoming record, ‘This Music May Contain Hope’, here in Chiswick with our very own engineer, Alex Robinson, alongside assistants Mollie Crammond, Sanjana Walia and Joe Brice. Her performance of Nightingale Lane was a standout on the night, and we cannot wait for the album to be released. Congratulations to team Raye and all our engineers involved in the record. We’ll have more Raye and Metropolis news coming up when the record releases, so keep an eye out.

Ozzy Osbourne is sorely missed, and the outpouring of love for the legend over the weekend was heartfelt and deserved. It’s always difficult to balance a tribute performance for a legend alongside an ITV 1 audience, but we felt it was perfectly judged. Our very own Grammy award winner, Matt Colton, had the privilege of mastering Ozzy’s last record, ‘Patient Number 9’. Matt has also worked for several years with Noel Gallagher, Sault, and, of course, Oasis, which means it was a legendary night for Matt and something we are so very proud of.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees at this year’s BRITs, and also to all our engineers who work tirelessly to repay the trust invested in them by these exceptional artists. To help bring an artist’s vision to life is both a privilege and a responsibility that we take very seriously. The BRITs are a great recognition of that, so congratulations to all.
